Accessibility Statement

Last updated: April 27, 2026

Our Commitment

Scouts BSA Troop 941 is committed to ensuring that the Flags Along the Brazos website is accessible to all users, including people with disabilities. We strive to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA, as published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C).

Measures We Take

  • Semantic HTML with proper heading hierarchy for screen reader navigation
  • ARIA labels and landmark roles on all major page regions
  • Keyboard-navigable interactive elements including buttons, forms, and modals
  • Sufficient color contrast ratios for text and UI components
  • Alt text on all meaningful images
  • Focus indicators on all interactive elements
  • Form fields with associated labels and descriptive error messages
  • Responsive design that adapts to large text and zoom settings up to 200%

Known Limitations

The interactive map feature (route viewer) uses third-party OpenStreetMap tiles and may have limited screen-reader support. We are working to provide text-based alternatives for all map data.
