About Troop# 941
Quick Facts about Scout Troop 941
- Troop 941 is in the Sam Houston Area Council, Brazos District
- First chartered in 1982, the troop is currently chartered by the First United Methodist Church, Fulshear
- The troop usually meets at FUMC in downtown Fulshear (8201 Harris St)
- Troop 941 is comprised of boys from all around the Fulshear area including Simonton, Wallis, Orchard, Richmond, and Katy.
- Our troop is growing! We have more than 50 active scouts in several patrols!
As of 2019, 43 scouts in Troop 941 have earned the rank of Eagle - We are active in serving our community through service projects
- We are active in the outdoors, weekend camping nearly every month, including activities such as canoeing and kayaking, swimming, rock climbing, wild caving, shooting, backpacking, and more
- We attend BSA Summer Camp and Adventure Camp every summer. In recent years we’ve camped in Colorado, Virginia, Florida, Oklahoma, New Mexico, and Texas.
Join Us
You don’t need any prior scouting experience to join a Scouts BSA troop. Any boy under the age of 18 can join our troop if:
- You are at least age 10 and have completed a Webelos Arrow of Light program.
- You are at least age 11
- You are a registered scout and wish to transfer from another troop.
- You were previously registered in BSA but your registration has lapsed.
We invite you and your parent to visit Troop 941 at our next troop meeting or contact a troop leader by email at troop941fulshear@gmail.com. Currently, due to COVID-19, our troop meetings are online only. If you are a Webelos Scout, we invite you to visit our Troop in November in the Brazos District Webelos Woods campout.
